As everyone should be aware, no situation where people gather indoors, especially with children, can be 100% germ-free. With that said, by following our layered mitigation and safety strategy, we're hopeful that we can provide a reasonable balance between holding in-person classes and protecting the safety of our dancers, their families, and our staff. We ask for your help in adherence to our policies and keeping us informed of any changes to your child's health status.

To provide a safer environment, each of our studios is equipped with MERV 13 filters in the air handling systems. While these do not eliminate the coronavirus specifically, they're effective at trapping the tiny particulates on which the virus travels. In addition, we have HEPA air purifiers in the studios and lobbies. HEPA filters are over 99% effective in trapping these small particles as well. Lastly, we use an EPA-approved anti-viral cleaner to sanitize the studio floors and touch surfaces between classes.

For both staff and dancers, we recommend hand sanitizing or hand washing before class. Masks are optional but recommended for those with weakened immune systems or who feel more comfortable with that extra layer of protection. When worn properly, masks have been shown to be a simple and effective method of limiting the spread of viruses.

What we ask of you --

If your child is sick, had a fever, and/or is exhibiting any signs of illness including Covid, flu, RSV, or even common cold symptoms within the past 24 hours, please keep them home! You can schedule a make-up class for when the child is feeling better. In the interests of protecting the health of all of our students, if it appears that a child is sick while attending class, we may ask you to remove him/her for that class session and schedule a make-up class per our make-up policy. We reserve the right to deny entry to class if a child is exhibiting signs of illness. This is not meant to be punitive, only protective of all of our dancers and staff. If in doubt, err on the side of safety. Remember that makeup classes are available under our regular makeup policies.

If, after attending a class, it's determined that your child has a transmissible illness and may have exposed others in the class, please notify us immediately. In the event we do have to notify others of a possible exposure, we will not share names of those involved.

With your help, we hope that the above procedures will allow us to continue to move forward and protect your children while sharing the joy of dance.
